- Dress Code -

FEMALES

Egypt is predominantly an Islamic country; so you’ll constantly see veiled local women. You’re not required to wear a hijab except in mosques. Dress modestly in non-coastal areas.

MALES

Cover your shoulders and knees during your tour, as the historical sites you’re visiting were once and still extremely sacred places.

Shorts are applicable at beaches.

Use Uber as it’s the best option. If you must ride a taxi make sure the meter is working.

Ask for permission before taking photos, as in some places it’s forbidden. This includes people too.

Use google maps, as sometimes people provide directions even if they don’t know the place.

Don’t accept offers like city tours or visits to tombs from  anyone other than your registered tour agent.

Don’t drink alcohol in the street or any unlicensed place as it’s forbidden and could lead to arrest.

Don’t greet people with hugs and kisses. Avoid any physical contact with the opposite sex.
